SAIDIS ORDA – SCANDAL

14–20 September 2025

For one explosive week during London Fashion Week, The Mandrake becomes more than a hotel—it becomes the set, the spectacle, and the scandal.

In a bold partnership The Mandrake presents its latest Artist-in-Residence: Saidis Orda, the Lithuanian-born fashion photographer and creative director known for his radical visuals and rule-breaking vision.

From 14–20 September, Orda will stage an immersive takeover titled “SCANDAL”—a live fashion performance unfolding throughout the hotel. Guests, bystanders, and fashion insiders will find themselves inside a living film, where every hallway, bar, and suite is a scene, a statement, and a challenge to the ordinary.

THE PROJECT – SCANDAL

SCANDAL is not just a shoot—it’s a live fashion rebellion.

Part satire, part social commentary, and entirely unpredictable, SCANDAL transforms The Mandrake into a surreal playground of visual excess, identity chaos, and couture confrontation.

Expect the unexpected:

Paparazzi-styled model arrivals bypassing check-in, Barroom mayhem with martinis, murmurs, and melodrama, Stylised chaos in the restaurant—heels, smoke, and rule-breaking, Bathtub rituals with designer garments and dripping opulence, Suite heists, hidden installations, and Orda’s cryptic branding overtaking the space, Tape, decals, and guerrilla projections in unexpected corners, Live filming across public and private areas of the hotel.

Throughout the week, guests will become witnesses—or unwitting extras—in a fully immersive performance. The line between fiction and reality will dissolve.
